Instead of playing tokens facedown and in turn order, tokens will now be played faceup at the same time. After the E-Rex player has read their sentence, each player will need to think about the token they wish to play and the space they wish to play it in. They will then raise their hand with their token to show they are ready. Once all players have their hands raised, the E-Rex will countdown from 3. On 1, all players will place their token FACEUP at the same time on the space they chose. 2. The flip token does not flip other tokens. It is now treated as a +0 token. The flip token will no longer flip other tokens to their minus side. Therefore, it will now be impossible to “attack” other players. All other tokens remain the same. Therefore, the 4 tokens players can use are as follows: The +0 token (formerly the flip token). The +1 token The +2 token The link token (which links adjacent emotion cards and does not award any additional points). *Tokens on their minus side are no longer referred to as minus tokens, but rather as unused tokens. 3. Instead of replacing only 1 emotion card at the end of the round, any emotion card with a token directly on it also gets replaced. Note that this was step number 9 in the original rulesheet, but has been switched with rule 8 to ease these cleanup steps. E－レックス / Emotional Rex --- Japanese and English! Part 1: SCROLL DOWN FOR ENGLISH! ゲームマーケット2024春ブース・B43 こんにちは！遠いアメリカからやってまいりました！ドナルドです！（でも京都在住です。）今回は魂をこめて作成しました、3-8人まで遊べるパーティーゲーム「エモーショナル・レックス（E-Rex）」を紹介させてください。エモーショナル・レックスは、英語のEmotional Wreckをもじったもので、日本語では「感情の起伏が激しい」という意味にあたります。さっそく、ご紹介しましょう！箱の中身：セットアップはこんな感じです。各プレイヤーは4つのトークンを手に入れることになります。そして、これで始める準備が整いました！でもその前に…E-レックスのストーリーを簡単に見てみましょう。銀河を旅していた宇宙人ニスブリット達は、人類が滅亡した地球へと降り立ちます。人類が持っていたと言われる「感情」を研究する為、絶滅した人間を復活させようとしたのに…なんと！誤ってティラノサウルスを復活させてしまったのです。チグハグな感情で話すティラノサウルス＝エモーショナル・レックスと共に感情の研究が始まったのです。プレイヤーは交互にエモーショナル・レックス通称E-レックスになり、ニスブリット・プレイヤーは正しい感情を読み取ります。基本的なラウンドは次のようになります。 E-レックスになったプレイヤーはまずサイコロを振り、出た数字をこっそり確認します。 2です！　(実際は黄色のサイコロが入っています。) 次に、ボード上の自分の番号の隣にある感情カードを見ます。この場合、「不機嫌」です。次に、E-レックスは文章カードを取り、先ほどサイコロで出た感情で読みます。ここに2つの文章カードの例があります。あなたの「不機嫌」は伝わるでしょうか？さぁ、声に出して読んでみて！あ、ジェスチャーは禁止ですよー！最大3回まで読むことができます。読み終わったら、次にニスブリット・プレイヤーはトークンを1つ裏向きに置いて、E-レックスがどの感情を持っているかを当てます。トークンは3つのエリアに置くことができます： 1. 感情カードに直接トークンを置くことができ、見事正解すると4点獲得できます。　(100％わかったぜ…お前の感情がな…。の時。リスク高いけど。) 2. ボードの中央の青のスペースにトークンを置き、2つの感情を互いにリンクさせることができます。迷っててもどちらか一方が正解なら、2点獲得となります。　(うーん、1か2かどっちかな気がするなー迷うなー。の時) 3. ボードの下部、紫スペースの奇数側か偶数側にトークンを置くことができます。自分が思う感情カードの読みが弱い時、それらしき感情カードが奇数側にあるか、偶数側にあるか。ただし、ここに置いて当たっても0点です。　(ちょっと何言ってるかわかんないですけど…ｗでも多分「不機嫌」か「恥ずかしがっている」っぽい気がするなー。の時。) すべてのニスブリットプレイヤーがトークンを置いたら、すべてのトークンが公開されます！トークンにもそれぞれ特殊能力があり、その能力が発動します。 +1、または+2トークンが得点スペースに正しくおかれた場合、その得点に追加してそれぞれ1点、または2点が追加されます（奇数・偶数スペースはそもそも正解しても0点なので、このトークンを置くことで初めて得点になります）。リンクトークンは、上下に隣接する感情カードを3つ「リンク」させることができます。下の写真では、青いリンクトークンが「苦々しい」の上に置かれて、「不機嫌」と「シャイ」にリンクしています。この3つの中で、正解の「不機嫌」がリンクしているので、このプレイヤーも通常の4点を獲得することになります。最後にフリップトークンがあります。このフリップトークンと同じスペースに他のトークンがあった場合、フリップトークン以外の全てのトークンは、全て裏向きに反転します。そしてそれぞれの持つ能力は失われ、尚且つマイナストークンになってしまいます。たとえマイナストークンが正しいスペースにあったとしても、得られる得点よりマイナス1点となります。(ただし、奇数・偶数スペースで得点0が、マイナス1点になることはありません。) これがこのゲームの基本的な流れです！全員が1回ずつE-レックスを終えると1ラウンドです。プレイヤー数に応じて決まったラウンド数でゲームを終了します。どうでしょう？あなたはうまくE-レックスをとおして感情を伝えられますか？例えば、この文章をそれぞれ「ハイテンション」と「ロマンティック」の感情で言ってみて？ちょっと笑えますよね！ユーモアが生まれる時…。それは何気ない普通の文章を、時に決められたミスマッチングな感情で言わなければならない時！ブース・ウ26でお会いできるのを楽しみにしています！数日中にルールシートを掲載する予定ですので、ぜひチェックしてみてください！ --ドナルド Greetings Game Marketers! My name is Don. Please allow me to introduce my new (and dare I say very funny) party game for 3 to 8 players called Emotional Rex (E-Rex in Japanese). Let's get right to it! Here is everything in the box: Setup looks like this. Each player is going to get 4 unique tokens. And now you are ready to begin! But first, let's take a look at the box and a brief synopsis of the theme. Milleniums have passed. The Nisblitts, aliens of another dimension, have discovered the extinct remains of humanity on earth. Wanting to study more about human emotion, they decided to revive one of these ancient humans. Little did they know that they had actually resurrected a Tyrannosaurus rex. And now the research on “human” emotion has begun. Players will take turns being the Emotional Rex while the other Nisblitt players attempt to assess the correct emotion. A basic round looks like this. The E-rex will roll the 10 sided dice and secretly confirm their number. It's a 2! (Note that all production copies will have a yellow dice!) They will then look at the emotion card next to their number on the board. In this case, GRUMPY. Next, the E-rex will take a random sentence card and read that sentence in the previously confirmed emotion. Here are two sentence card examples. Can you say them using only a grumpy voice? No gestures are allowed! Once you have read the sentence (three times maximum), the Nisblitt players will then place one of their tokens facedown to assess which emotion you have. Tokens can be placed in three different areas: You can place a token directly on an emotion card which awards 4 points if correct. You could place a token on a blue center space on the board which links the two emotions across from each other. If one of these emotions is correct, you will score 2 points. Or, you can place your token in the odd / even spaces at the bottom of the board. However, going here awards zero points.... what? Once all Nisblitt players have placed a token, all tokens are revealed! The tokens also have special abilities too and their powers happen now. The +1 and +2 tokens award an extra one or two points respectively if you placed your token on a correct space (This is how you score points on the odd / even space!) The link token will “link” any emotion card directly adjacent to it. In the picture above, we can see the blue link token on the word BITTER. This token is also linked to GRUMPY and SHY. Since the token is linked to GRUMPY, this player will also receive the standard 4 points. Finally, there is the flip token. All other tokens on the exact same space with a flip token will be flipped back to their minus side and their powers will be deactivated. The minus token will still score points if the token is on the correct space, but it will give minus 1 point. So, if your token was flipped on the GRUMPY card, you would receive 3 points instead of 4 points. And this is the basic flow of the game! Players will keep repeating this until all players have been an E-rex a certain number of times depending on the player count. The humor shines when players must say sentences they normally wouldn't say in the stated emotion. For example, can you say these sentences in a FLABBERGASTED and ROMANTIC voice?
