This is a game that will likely cause a stir at the Game Market venue. We recommend purchasing at the Game Market venue, opening immediately, and playing immediately.　English Instruction included!

This is an analog game based on an urban legend I experienced in the past. It's an analog game that creates surprises with themes of encounters, farewells, and connections.

The experience of this game is somewhat special, so those who want to know the rules in advance or want to purchase (regardless of pre-order or day-of purchase) need to agree to the following:

  1. I can keep secrets and hide my identity. I can make that effort. 

  2. I like stealth action, hidden identity, covert operations, and sneaking around. 

  3. I like surprising people and creating surprises. 

  4. I possess a bit of a "mischievous spirit." 

  5. I understand that interpersonal troubles arising from the game are my own responsibility. 

  6. Games are once-in-a-lifetime encounters. I can accept that the game leaving my hands is part of life.

Oni Holder is an analog game that's "Chain Mail × Tag × Keychain." It's an attempt to create an analog game that propagates from person to person, like the cursed emails that were popular long ago.

Rules

  1. The game starts when a player obtains a keychain called Oniholder.
  2. The person holding Oniholder becomes the Oni(is a ''it'' for Japanese tag) and must pass Oniholder to someone else without being noticed.
  3. (Optional) Watch over the next Oni who discovers and is bewildered by the Oni Holder that came to them.
  4. (Grand objective) Starting from the "Original Oni" who opens the seal of Oni Holder, infiltrate the world with Oni.

Cautions

  1. You are responsible for any troubles that occur from this game. Play with people you know well, and don't cause trouble by targeting strangers.
  2. Since the rules written on the Oniholder itself are minimal, if possible, orally transmit the rules as mentioned in #3 above.
  3. When taking photos or videos of the Oniholder attached or of someone becoming an Oni, and posting them on social media, be careful with personal information.

And the only component of this game is the keychain called "Oniholder".

 

As you've probably guessed, for players who purchase Oniholder, this game is something to be passed on to the next player, and ownership is temporary.

However, we will honor you as the "Original Oni" of this game for all eternity (at least from me).

The rules are extremely simple, so I think we can increase Oni around the world. First, let's start the Oni infection from the Game Market venue... (I'm going to attach it to someone every time I go on a business trip from now on)

 

This is the design of Oniholder (acrylic keychain). All rules are written here, encouraging participation from those who obtain it. *Initially there was a plan to include a QR code, but we abolished it, judging that it would increase potential risks like scams and make it too suspicious as an item for play. We appreciate your understanding.

The Oniholder package has a motif of sealing a cursed object. The setting is that the person who picks it up opens the seal and becomes the "Original Oni."
