Shimaenagas huddle together on tree branches.
On cold winter days, tiny shimaenagas gather close together on tree branches to keep warm.
In this game, players place shimaenagas onto the branches, aiming to create adorable “Shimaenaga Dango.”
But simply lining them up is not enough to score.
Whenever 5 or more shimaenagas form a straight line,
the player who has the majority of their shimaenagas in that line earns points!
Using your opponent’s shimaenagas wisely is the key to victory.
Simple rules, surprisingly deep decisions.
On your turn, you only do one of two actions:
- Place a shimaenaga
- Move a shimaenaga
That’s it.
However, every move matters.
“If I place here, my opponent might score next turn…”
“Should I use my opponent’s pieces to my advantage?”
“Should I score now, or prepare for a bigger line later?”
Behind the cute appearance lies a thoughtful and strategic psychological battle.

The rounded 3D shimaenaga pieces were designed to feel cute and satisfying to place on the board.
When lined up together, they truly look like a real “Shimaenaga Dango.”
Just seeing the little birds gathered together on the branches is fun on its own.
This is a two-player abstract strategy game that combines approachable gameplay with charming table presence.
